Help us Keep Bankswood Festival Free

As Bankswood Festival gets bigger, we have a dilemma! We want to be able to continue to grow without being fully reliant on grant support. We are keen that the festival sticks true to its roots as first and foremost a community event. As a result like last year, we will be selling tickets in advance, BUT (and here is the creative bit) TICKET PURCHASE IS VOLUNTARY. If you rate the festival, and value what we do and can afford to do so, then PLEASE, show your support and buy a ticket. You will find full details of our ticket offer here.

As well as winning  our undying gratitude, anyone buying an advanced ticket will be entered into a draw (exclusive to advanced ticket holders) to
win one of our  Festival T-shirts.

Tickets are available through Eventbright

27/28 August 2016

We have now confirmed the dates for Bankswood 2016 as 27th and 28th August (Saturday & Sunday of the August Bank holiday weekend).

Once again in 2016 thanks to support from Big Lottery

lottery_big_blueWe are really excited to announce that for the 2016 festival, we are again supported by the Big Lottery Fund, allowing us to continue developing the festival. This all means that as well as delivering an even better weekend for you the festival goers, we are also fulfilling our other objectives of supporting up and coming bands and engineers by giving them the opportunity to work in a top class festival environment.

Bankswood Music Festival – Keeping Music Live In The Community

Run for the first time in 2010 Bankswood  Festival aims to deliver the newest & best local music combined with a celebration of all that’s great in the local community to create  a 2 day outdoor festival. Started by a group of enthusiasts, and now organised by The Glossopdale Trust, it has two simple aims, Firstly to create a great , family festival in the heart of Glossopdale, that will become the No 1 event in the area.

And Secondly, our long term aim is to to use any surplus funds from the running of the festival to support community organisations within the area.

Bankswood Music Festival relies on donations and sponsorship, so if you would like to help click here for more info. Also, if you are interested in having a trade stand at Bankswood 2016, we would love to hear form you.
